In 1993, around 115 thousand babies were born in Portugal. Today, I embrace being one of them.
Writing about me has always been a great challenge (as you can probably already tell by the lame introduction above). My name is Alexandre and I was born in Coimbra, a small city in Portugal known for its university, one of the oldest in Europe, and for its academic lifesyle. My parents tell that I was born with a somewhat strong will of curiosity, that revealed itself mostly when breaking stuff appart and putting it back again. Most often of course, I skipped the latter step. One of my first toys, a small green drumset, was my wonder and also my neighbours' nightmare. This event, I believe, triggered a passion for music that still burns intensely to this day.
Moved by these invisible forces, and many (many) mathematical formulas afterwards, I completed the Masters in Biomedical Engineering in 2016 at the 730-ish year old University of Coimbra, without really acknowledging what a biomedical engineer could be capable of in this world.
